Each and every product is made in the U.S.A., confidently using nothing but quality material. The steel plates are powder coated black and cooked to perfection. The Willybar’s hardware components were purposely over-engineered for extra strength. For example, hardened washers, grade 8 bolts, coiled steel cable with 4,000 lb. breaking strength, and to top it off durable spray-on truck bedliner finish. Weight never looked so good!!!
Willybar ramp allows objects to be pushed or rolled into the truck bed with minimal obstruction. The flaps are folded with 18 gage steel to double the strength. The top side of the 2010 model is coated with durable spray-on truck bed lining. This is a nice addition that matches well with the Willybar. View Willybar Video >>>

The standard truck has been designed to carry a payload. The suspension springs are rated to do so. The Willybar has been designed to simulate a payload and creates a much more compliant suspension, which in turn gives you a much more pleasant ride and an increase in traction. Offsetting the weights from the center of the rear axle to the back of the bed creates a lever arm or moment. For example if you hold a heavy box close, you can carry it. However, if you extend your arms, it becomes very heavy. The same physics apply to the Willybar. The Willybar plates can be added or removed to accommodate any size truck. Below is a formula that is used to calculate the moment applied to the rear axle.

The formula is as follows:
M = Moment (force being applied to rear axle)
L = 24 inches or 2 feet (Length of lever arm from the center of rear axle to the center of Willybar)
P = 400 lbs (Mass of Willybar)
Formula: M = P x L = 400 lbs. x 24 inches
M = 9600 in.lbf or 800 ft.lbf (simulated payload)
